Here is a journal of my experience in this new journey, it may be a little more detailed then the Facebook post, if not- at least its a personal record of where God is taking me & the people around me...
Day One:
Day One was suppose to be our easy day, easy travels. It was far from that. Monday morning a storm hit the area and we have been out of power ever since. We were blessed enough to be able to go over to grandma and grandpa's house while they are Up North. But even with an air conditioned house and T.V it was chaos! We had to haul loads of laundry over to pack for the trip and make sure we had everything. The vehicles got lots of miles to and from our house and G&G's.
On top of it all, the family car, Yukon XL with 130,000 plus miles on it, went in for a 'check-up'. Of course something went wrong, so we were out a big car! Again blessed enough to take G&G's, we loaded up the Buick Enclave this morning at 7:45. With limited trunk space and five passengers, we crammed in and started out just on time 8 a.m departure. It took us an hour to leave town, but finally after a gas run, donut run, and two runs back to the house(s) we were off!
Once we got on the road {at about quarter to ten} all went well.
At 7 p.m {PA time} we arrived at the "Spring Hill Suites" 6 miles from Heinz Field. We got some dinner, and now relaxing.
Tomorrow looks like a "full" day of ...wait for it... STANDING IN LINE. I guess all "pop-stars" make sacrifices ;)
A hectic start to a day ended peacefully.
Until tomorrow night ...
